Are you looking for something to do on a pleasant day in the Cotentin region? The crew of the Bateliers des Marais du Cotentin (The Boatmen of the Cotentin Marshlands) will plunge you into the universe of the marshlands so that you can discover the exceptional flora and fauna of this preserved and protected site.
Come and discover by boat the Taute Valley, which is at the heart of the Regional Nature Park of the Cotentin Marshlands.
You will find out all the secrets of the Normandy Marshlands when you get aboard Sun Dew (La rosée du soleil), our famous and faithful vessel on the river Taute. During your guided tour or gourmet cruise a passionate guide will tell you about the history and activities of the places you pass to the rhythm of the tides, including the story of the parachutists who fell into the marshlands in June 1944.
If you’re feeling more adventurous, take out one of our small motor boats.
Get on a motor boat on the River Douve. You will appreciate how stable and how easy to use they are. This way you can go out on your own to discover the Cotentin marshlands and give yourself the opportunity to observe herons, storks and kingfishers in the meadows.
